[February 04, 2010]  ST. LOUIS -- The Red Lions men's basketball team of Lincoln Christian University posted two wins in the Concordia Tournament over the weekend.

On Friday evening the Red Lions defeated the Greenville College Panthers 90-84. The Red Lions placed five men in double figures, led by Jon Wallace with 19 points and nine rebounds; Kevin Watson, 16 points, 14 rebounds; Chris Lawson, 15 points, four rebounds; Josiah Brock, 10 points, six rebounds; and Mac Ingmire, 10 points, two rebounds. Lincoln shot 45.1 percent from the field and 67.3 percent from the free-throw stripe. The victory improved LCU's record to 7-5.

On Saturday afternoon the Red Lions defeated the Preachers of Concordia Seminary 67-57. In this game, which improves LCU's record to 8-5, four players were in double figures, led by Chris Lawson’s 14 points, along with four rebounds; Josiah Brock, 13 points, nine rebounds; Jon Wallace, 11 points, 11 rebounds; and Kevin Watson, 11 points, six rebounds. LCU shot 40 percent from the field and 61.9 percent from the free-throw stripe.

The Red Lions will travel to Moody Bible Institute for a Tuesday evening contest.
