On Friday evening the Red Lions defeated the Greenville College
Panthers 90-84. The Red Lions placed five men in double figures, led
by Jon Wallace with 19 points and nine rebounds; Kevin Watson, 16
points, 14 rebounds; Chris Lawson, 15 points, four rebounds; Josiah
Brock, 10 points, six rebounds; and Mac Ingmire, 10 points, two
rebounds. Lincoln shot 45.1 percent from the field and 67.3 percent
from the free-throw stripe. The victory improved LCU's record to
7-5. On Saturday afternoon the Red Lions defeated the Preachers of
Concordia Seminary 67-57. In this game, which improves LCU's record
to 8-5, four players were in double figures, led by Chris Lawson’s
14 points, along with four rebounds; Josiah Brock, 13 points, nine
rebounds; Jon Wallace, 11 points, 11 rebounds; and Kevin Watson, 11
points, six rebounds. LCU shot 40 percent from the field and 61.9
percent from the free-throw stripe.
The Red Lions will travel to Moody Bible Institute for a Tuesday
evening contest.
