Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[February 04, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery dropped 9.5 cents to $5.005 a bushel, while March corn lost 1.75 cents to $3.6925 a bushel and oats for March delivery fell 5 cents to $2.26 a bushel. March soybeans sank 10.5 cents to $9.635 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle gained 0.55 cent to 87.9 cents a pound; March feeder cattle climbed 1.02 cents to 99.67 cents a pound; February lean hogs added 0.78 cent tp 70.75 cents a pound; and February pork bellies edged up 0.65 cent to 90.25 cents a pound.
