and Museum, which is gearing up for the 150th anniversary of the

complex.

A volunteer orientation program has been scheduled for Feb. 3,
5:30-7:30 p.m., in the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library
Multi-Purpose Room. Training sessions following the orientation will
be in the same place on Feb. 17, 24 and March 3, all at 5:30 p.m.,
and will feature Kathryn Harris, library director, and Tom Schwartz,
state historian. Volunteers are required to attend the orientation
and training sessions and are asked to make a commitment of two
four-hour shifts per month.
Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum volunteers are
needed to greet visitors and assist with special events and
educational programs. They may also take advantage of continuing
education programs throughout the year. For more information or to
register for the Feb. 3 orientation program, contact Linda Bee,
volunteer services coordinator, at 217-558-8872.
