Timing: Blowing snow will most pronounced Monday night into
Tuesday morning as the combination of light snowfall and wind gusts
approaching 40 mph will produce low visibilities.
Accumulations: Additional snow accumulations of around an inch
can be expected overnight, with total accumulations across the
advisory area up to 2 inches.
Wind: West winds of 20 to 30 mph, with occasional gusts near
Effects: North-south roadways will be affected the most
Monday night, due to the strong west winds and blowing snow.
Precautionary, preparedness actions: Motorists venturing out
on area roadways need to be prepared for rapidly changing conditions
Monday night due to the blowing snow. Visibilities in some of the
open areas will be reduced to less than a half-mile at times. Allow
plenty of time to reach your destination.
