Agriculture futures, livestock prices mostly drop

[January 27, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mostly lower Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery slid 4.25 cents to $4.94 a bushel; March corn dropped 5.5 cents to $3.6225 a bushel; March oats shed 1.5 cents to $2.3175 a bushel; while March soybeans rose 7 cents to $9.475 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures mostly fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle slipped 0.68 cent to 85.52 cents a pound; March feeder cattle added 0.20 cent to 98.97 cents a pound; February lean hogs fell 1.90 cents to 66.47 cents a pound; and February pork bellies fell 2.10 cents to 81.40 cents a pound.
