Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[January 30, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures slid Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery dropped 13 cents to $4.74 a bushel, while March corn lost 5.25 cents to $3.565 a bushel and oats for March delivery fell 5 cents to $2.28 a bushel. March soybeans sank 17.75 cents to $9.14 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures advanced and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle inched up 0.15 cent to 85.8 cents a pound; March feeder cattle gained 0.4 cent to 98.87 cents a pound; February lean hogs fell 0.27 cent to 66.5 cents a pound; and February pork bellies added 0.1 cent to 81.5 cents a pound.
