Grains futures mixed, livestock prices mostly drop

[July 02, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures were mixed Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery added 6 cents to $4.865 a bushel; September corn slipped 1.25 cents to $3.615 a bushel; November soybeans dropped 6.5 cents to $8.96 a bushel; and September oats were flat at $2.53 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded mostly lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle shed 0.27 cent to 89.75 cents a pound; August feeder cattle slid 0.30 cent to $1.1275 a pound; August lean hogs slipped 0.38 cent to 81.27 cents a pound; and July pork bellies were flat at 99.50 cents a pound.
