[July 06, 2010]  OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Andy Pettitte is an AL All-Star -- again.

Pettitte will replace injured Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz for next Tuesday night's game at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.

The 38-year-old Pettitte was added to the team Monday because he was next in line in voting by AL players. The players select five starters and three relievers and Pettitte was sixth on that list. Buchholz was placed on the 15-day disabled list Monday with a strained left hamstring.

It's the third All-Star selection for Pettitte, who previously made the team in 1996 and 2001.

Pettitte is 10-2 with a 2.82 ERA over 16 starts this season.
