17 Lincoln College athletes on all-academic team

[July 08, 2010]  Lincoln College announces that 17 student-athletes from five different sports were selected to the 2009-2010 MWAC All-Academic Team. Three students were dual-sport athletes, and two students had perfect grade-point averages.

HardwareIn addition, two Lincoln College teams earned NJCAA All-Academic Team honors. The women's basketball team, coached by Carol Wilson, accumulated a team GPA of 3.17. The softball team, coached by John Andrews, accumulated a team GPA of 3.16. The women’s golf team, coached by Carol Wilson, accumulated the sixth best team GPA with 3.26.

The college also had nine student-athletes who earned NJCAA Distinguished Academic All-American honors.

"On behalf of the athletic department and Lincoln College, we are excited to recognize our student-athletes' accomplishments in the classroom," said Dave Klemm, director of athletics. "This award is a result of hard work and dedication to their academics and also to the sport they play."
