Accidents

Parking lot accident on Heitmann Drive

Accident occurred July 6 at 4:25 p.m. in the 1000 block of Heitmann Drive.

  • Schleder, Beau R., 20-year-old male, Lincoln; 2002 Pontiac Aztek SRV 4x2

  • Licensed driver under the age of 18

Vehicle 2 was traveling through the parking lot while Schleder was backing out of a parking space. Schleder said he did not see the other vehicle and backed into a trailer that was being towed.

Too many green lights

Accident occurred July 6 at 9:50 a.m. at the intersection of Keokuk and Kickapoo.

  • Jackson, Emily A., 24-year-old female, Lincoln; 2003 GM Envoy belonging to Jeremy D. Duffer

  • Holmes, Kenneth M., 81-year-old male, Mount Pulaski; 2008 Ford Taurus

Jackson said she was southbound on Kickapoo at the intersection with Keokuk while Holmes was northbound on Kickapoo, attempting a left-hand turn. Jackson said she had the green light and was passing through the intersection and stuck Holmes.

Holmes said he had a green turn light and had nearly completed his turn when Jackson entered the intersection, striking his vehicle on the rear passenger-side quarter panel.

Lincoln Police Department reports for Monday, July 12

  • Aaron, Ardena M., 33-year-old female, of Lincoln, arrested July 9 at her residence on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear on charge of domestic battery. Bond was set at $3,000, 10 percent.

  • Birch, Jeremy M., 32-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested July 10 on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear in small-claims court.

  • Cummings, Jeannie D., 20-year-old female, of Mason City, arrested July 10 at the intersection of College Avenue and Keokuk in Lincoln on Class A charge of driving with a license suspended. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

  • Ramlow, Matthew B., 34-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested July 11 on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear. Bond was set at $3,000, 10 percent.

  • Smith, Lorinda K., 39-year-old female, of Lincoln, arrested July 11 at her residence on a McLean County warrant for failure to appear.

  • Treakle, Billy D., 35-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested July 9 at his residence. Warrant arrest with no county listed for failure to appear. Bond was set at $250.

  • Wharton, Roy L., 33-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested July 11 in the 900 block of Fifth Street on Class A charge of domestic battery.

Logan County Sheriff's Department reports for Monday, July 12

  • Clark, Curtis A., 28-year-old male, of Rockford, arrested July 9 at the Logan County Correctional Facility on a Winnebago County warrant for failure to appear. Bond was set at $3,000, 10 percent.

  • Letterle, Virgil T., 24-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested July 11 at Memorial Park on Class A charge of driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

  • Musick, Mason F., 18-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested July 10 in the Forest Hills area on Class A charge of illegal possession and consumption of alcohol.

  • Osland, Brooke M., 28-year-old female, of Lincoln, arrested July 11 at her residence on two Logan County warrants: one for failure to appear on charge of driving with a license revoked, the other for failure to appear on charge of driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood-alcohol level exceeding 0.08. Bond was set at $2,000 each, 10 percent.

  • Parrish, Christopher L., 20-year-old male, of Mount Pulaski, arrested July 10 in the 200 block of North Marion, Mount Pulaski, on Class A charge of domestic battery.

  • Perez, Justin R., 24-year-old male, of Lincoln, arrested July 11 on North Sherman at Keokuk on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear on charge of driving with a license suspended.
