Accidents Parking lot accident on Heitmann Drive
Accident occurred July 6 at 4:25 p.m. in the 1000 block of
Heitmann Drive.

20-year-old male, Lincoln; 2002 Pontiac Aztek SRV 4x2

Licensed driver under the age of 18
Vehicle 2 was traveling through the parking lot while Schleder
was backing out of a parking space. Schleder said he did not see the
other vehicle and backed into a trailer that was being towed.
Too many green lights
Accident occurred July 6 at 9:50 a.m. at the intersection of
Keokuk and Kickapoo.

Holmes, Kenneth M., 81-year-old male,
Mount Pulaski; 2008 Ford Taurus
Jackson said she was southbound on Kickapoo at the intersection
with Keokuk while Holmes was northbound on Kickapoo, attempting a
left-hand turn. Jackson said she had the green light and was passing
through the intersection and stuck Holmes.
Holmes said he had a green turn light and had nearly completed
his turn when Jackson entered the intersection, striking his vehicle
on the rear passenger-side quarter panel.
