Grains futures trade higher on the Chicago BOT

[July 16, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures climbed Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for September delivery surged 37.25 cents to $5.9625 a bushel, while September corn rose 8.25 cents to $3.925 a bushel and oats for July delivery jumped 12.5 cents to $2.965 a bushel. November soybeans soared 26 cents to $9.88 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle inched up 0.08 cent to 92.4 cents a pound, August feeder cattle lost 0.25 cent to $1.1337 a pound, August lean hogs fell 0.6 cent to 80.82 cents a pound, and July pork bellies added 0.45 cent to $1.042 a pound.
