Grains futures mostly drop, livestock prices mixed

[July 17, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures mostly dropped Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for September delivery slid 9.5 cents to $5.8675 a bushel; September corn dipped 1 cent to $3.915 a bushel; November soybeans shed 1.5 cents to $9.865 a bushel; and September oats were flat at $2.685 a bushel.

Beef futures dropped while pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle dipped 0.08 cent to 92.32 cents a pound; August feeder cattle slid 0.17 cent to $1.1320 a pound; August lean hogs added 0.93 cent to 81.75 cents a pound; and August pork bellies rose 1.8 cents to 100.80 cents a pound.
