Accidents Stolen vehicle turns up in Lincoln
A 1998 Pontiac Firebird previously reported as stolen by owner
Troy A. Well of Springfield turned up in Lincoln last Thursday
morning.
According to the police report, at approximately 5:15 a.m. the
vehicle with an unknown driver was at the intersection of First and
South Monroe, heading east.
Police observed tire marks on the roadway indicating the vehicle
had spun its rear wheels and fishtailed at the intersection, leaving
the road on the south side and striking a telephone switch box.
The driver then proceeded three blocks to the east on First,
where he or she then abandoned the vehicle.
Parking lot incident at McDonald's
Accident occurred at 10:43 a.m. on July 16.

McBenge of Charleston
Brittain was legally parked within the yellow lines of a space at
McDonald's. Snyder attempted to pull into a space beside Brittain,
crossed the yellow lines and struck the Brittain vehicle on the
front driver's-side quarter panel.
Police located Snyder inside the restaurant, and she told them
then that she was unaware that she had struck the adjacent vehicle.
