Senior Legion stays alive in tournament

[July 23, 2010]  Lincoln's Senior Legion stayed alive in the 4th Division tourney Thursday night. After losing 15-8 at the hands of Danville, Lincoln came back in the nightcap to defeat Champaign 6-4. Cory Yeazle notched the complete-game victory (nine innings), striking out 10 and only giving up one earned run and seven hits.

In the first game, Jason O'Brien was 2 for 3 with a home run, while Joel Ritchhart had a double, Bryce Hunsley a triple and Jade Leake a double.

In the second game, Jason O'Brien had two hits, Cory Yeazle a double and single, Jade Leake a double and Trent Gardner a double.

Lincoln plays the loser of the Mattoon-Danville game Friday at Champaign at 7:15 p.m.
