Police search for Lincoln man

[July 23, 2010]  Lincoln police were dispatched to a residence on July 8 in reference to a home invasion. The 17-year-old victim at the address was attacked by an unknown assailant armed with a knife. The suspect fled the residence in an unknown direction.

The victim had minor injuries and was treated and released at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Through the efforts of Lincoln Police Criminal Investigation Division, the suspect has been identified as Tyler T. Lancaster of Lincoln. Lancaster is currently wanted by the Lincoln Police Department for the offense of home invasion, a Class X felony.

If anyone has knowledge of his immediate whereabouts, you should call your local law enforcement agency as soon as possible. The Lincoln police telephone number is 217-732-2151.

Anyone with any information concerning any crime in the Lincoln and Logan County area is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 217-732-3000.
