Grains futures mostly drop, livestock prices mixed

[July 27, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures mostly fell Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for September delivery dropped 7.25 cents to $5.89 a bushel; September corn slid 4.5 cents to $3.6675 a bushel; and September oats were flat at $2.5475 a bushel. Soybeans for November delivery fell 7 cents to $9.745.

Livestock futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Live cattle for October delivery dipped 0.17 cent to 94.55 cents a pound; August feeder cattle added 0.48 cent to $1.1565 a pound; October lean hogs fell 0.65 cent to 76.37 cents a pound; and August pork bellies rose 0.45 cent to 103.95 cents a pound.
