Grains futures, livestock prices mixed

[July 29, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures were mixed early Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery jumped 5.5 cents to $5.95 a bushel, while September corn lost 1.25 cents to $3.6275 a bushel and oats for September delivery fell 4.5 cents to $2.465 a bushel. November soybeans slipped 0.5 cent to $9.655 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures also traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle inched up 0.15 cent to 93.92 cents a pound; August feeder cattle shed 0.05 cent to $1.149 a pound; October lean hogs added 0.75 cent to 76.22 cents a pound; and August pork bellies dropped 3 cents to 99.75 cents a pound.
