[May 29, 2010]  Carroll Catholic School has been notified that it met the criteria necessary to be accredited by the North Central Association. Carroll is the only public or private school in Lincoln to have received this honor.

The North Central Association is a nationwide organization that has over 13,000 members, ranging from universities and colleges to high schools and grade schools. It is an educational research-based organization that provides guidelines called standards that schools seeking to become members must study and follow.

For the past two years, Carroll Catholic has worked extensively to self-evaluate and adopt these research-based standards in order to establish a systematic process for school improvement. On April 29, the administration, staff, stakeholders and students were evaluated in an intense, all-day visit by a quality assurance review team.

Carroll Catholic is excited to be a member of the prestigious North Central organization. This is an example of the commitment of the dedicated staff in providing the highest quality education possible.

The school will again be reviewed in five years. In the meantime, Carroll Catholic will follow the new school improvement processes that have been put into place and will continue to strive for academic excellence.

The school expresses sincere thanks to parents and parishioners who served on committees, answered surveys and supported the staff through this demanding process.
