Lincoln Heat 12U team scores

[June 08, 2010]  The Lincoln Heat 12U team, sponsored by Bennett Funeral Home, split a doubleheader with the Decatur Diamonds on Sunday, winning the first game 10-5 and losing the second 10-15.

In the first game, Ben Steiner allowed only three earned runs in 5 2/3 innings, striking out 14 batters. Brycen Hicks struck out the only batter he faced to preserve the win.

Will Morris led the Heat with two hits and two RBIs. Noah Kenney and Devin Smith each had a hit and two runs scored. Smith also drove in two runs.

In the second game, Kenney and Morris each had a hit with two runs scored at the plate. Hicks had a hit and two RBIs.

Isaac Lewis took the loss on the mound, while allowing only one earned run.
