[June 09, 2010]  LONDON (AP) -- Auction house Christie's says a rare Andy Warhol portrait of Hollywood screen legend Elizabeth Taylor will go on sale in London this month.

"Silver Liz" is expected to fetch up to 8 million pounds ($11.5 million) when it goes under the hammer June 30.

The portrait was painted in 1963, the year Taylor became the first actress to earn $1 million for a role. It has been in a private collection for 20 years and has not been seen in public.

Taylor was one of Warhol's muses but Christie's said Tuesday that "Silver Liz" was one of only two Warhol portraits to show the actress with her famous violet eyes.
