[June 09, 2010]  Lincoln's street and alley department will begin this year's seal coat program on Monday. They will start by seal coating the entire Mayfair subdivision. Then the department will work its way south, treating and skipping various streets. They will stop on June 25.

The department will then resume the project on Aug. 23 and will start with the entire Starkey Acres subdivision. Then the department will work its way south, treating and skipping various streets. The list will be available on the city's website, www.cityoflincoln-il.gov, by clicking on "News" for the complete list.

The city asks that you have all vehicles off the street by 7:30 a.m. and that you do not throw your grass into the street. They also ask that when you see them working, please stay clear of that area until they are done.

Starting June 28, crews will go back to where they started and sweep up any excess rock. If you have any questions, please call 732-4655 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. or e-mail tjackson@cityoflincoln-il.gov.
