Grains futures rise, livestock prices mixed

[June 12, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures jumped Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery jumped 7.5 cents to $4.4075 a bushel; July corn rose 6.25 cents to $3.495 a bushel; July soybeans added 11.25 cents to $9.465 a bushel; and July oats climbed 12.5 cents to $2.27 a bushel.

Beef futures slipped and pork futures traded higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle slid 0.57 cent to 89.50 cents a pound; August feeder cattle dropped 0.15 cent to $1.1007 a pound; June lean hogs gained 0.50 cent to 77.77 cents a pound; and July pork bellies rose 0.20 cent to 95.95 cents a pound.
