 This is the third year for the show, which raises money for St. Jude
Children's Research Hospital. Truckers who have pride in their ride
will show their shiny chrome and polished rigs for the public to
enjoy.Canisters will be placed in front of each truck for voting.
Votes will be cast for your favorite rig. Each penny counts as one
vote. It will be a great day for families to come out and see the
big rigs that go up and down the highways of our great nation every
day.
The show is expecting to draw 50-75 trucks and over 1,000 people
to attend.
Mason City Rotary will sell rib-eye sandwiches; Mason City
Community Chapel is selling pulled pork sandwiches; Boys Scouts will
sell pork chops sandwiches and hot dogs; and the St. Jude Runners
will sell desserts.
Games and activities scheduled include cow pie bingo, a tire
thumping contest and trucker quizzes. Door prizes will be drawn
every half-hour. There will also be a 50/50 drawing and raffle.
Living Faith, a quintet of truck drivers, will provide music from
2:30 to 4 p.m.
Trophy winners will be announced at 4 p.m.
A supper for the truckers and community, sponsored by Hull
Trucking and Mason County Transfer, will begin at 5:30 p.m. During
the supper, donation jars will be set out to help the Mason City
American Legion with the cost for replacing the destroyed flags. At
7 p.m., the Truckers Convoy Parade will begin, with the route
running from the park toward the school.

Also, please remember these trucks are a driver's home away from
home. Do not get into a truck unless asking the driver first.
The evening will end with the showing of the greatest trucker
movie ever shown, "Smokey and the Bandit," on the side of a van
semitrailer at dark. Please bring your lawn chairs.
In the event of rain, the event will be the following Saturday,
June 26.
