[June 23, 2010]  Summer is here and the heat is on! Escape the misery at the park district pool. The park district offers pool memberships or you can pay by the dip. Adults can enjoy lap swim beginning at 11 a.m., and children 6 and under with an adult can splash around without the bigger kids from noon to 1 p.m. daily. Either of these are just $1 per person or your pool pass.

Water aerobics is offered on Mondays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. Jenny and Corrinne invite you to join them for a fun and energizing workout in the water. This class is designed to increase overall health and fitness levels of all ages. All classes are free to Lincoln Park District members who have a circuit or full-access pass. All other participants must pay per class at either the front desk or SportsCenter desk before attending. In case of inclement weather or air temperature below 70 degrees, the class will be canceled.

If you are looking for a great workout out of the heat, try one of the park district's aerobics or spin classes. Come break a sweat in the air-conditioned aerobic or spin rooms. Again, classes are included for members having a circuit or full-access membership. Class schedules are available online at www.lincolnparkdistrict.com. Go to the facilities tab, scroll down and click for class schedules or descriptions. If you have any further questions, the park district is just a phone call away at 732-8770.
