[June 23, 2010]  One of Lincoln's own barbecue experts will help with a St. Jude event sponsored by Main Street Lincoln and the Railsplitter Antique Auto Club. Come join the fun in downtown Lincoln on Saturday.

Remembering the days when cars were classic and distinctive, when the music was rockin' and dreamy, and when the smell of cookin' brought you into the crowd is what you will experience this Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. on Kickapoo Street in front of the courthouse.

Doug Board, a local barbecue expert, will serve up the dinner. Traces in Time, Gary Osborne's band, will provide the live music, and the car buffs will provide you with a Super Cruise for St. Jude.

Yes, there will be hot dogs for the younger set.

Ladies, there is a flip-flop and purse sale as well as a Tupperware sale at the Treasure Chest, with 5 percent of the proceeds going to St. Jude's.

There will be drawings and a great time for all.

The whole event will be like a good old American get-together.

If you have any questions, call the Main Street Lincoln office, 217-732-2929. Remember, proceeds will go to St. Jude's, so get your tickets early.
