Lincoln Heat 12-under results

[June 26, 2010]  The Lincoln Heat 12-under team, sponsored by Bennett Funeral Home, lost and tied a game in opening-round action of the Lincoln Heat Tournament on Friday night.  

The Heat had no answer for Olympia's bats in game one, losing 16-1. The Spartans had 16 hits in three at-bats! Ben Steiner scorched a double to plate the only Heat run in the game. Christian Bennett also had a hit. 

In game two, the Heat dueled the Williamsville Bullets to a 3-3 tie. Steiner had 14 strikeouts in five innings. Isaac Lewis had two strikeouts in one inning of relief work to keep the game tied in the final inning. Several Heat players contributed at the plate. Lewis had a hit and an RBI. Will Morris and Brycen Hicks both had two-out hits that resulted in RBIs.
