Grains futures drop, livestock prices mostly fall

[June 29, 2010]  CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures dropped Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery fell 5 cents to $4.66 a bushel; September corn dropped 4.5 cents to $3.45 a bushel; November soybeans slipped 1 cent to $9.11 a bushel; and September oats tumbled 9.5 cents to $2.56 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures traded mostly lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle slipped 0.12 cent to 89.25 cents a pound; August feeder cattle added 0.55 cent to $1.1375 a pound; August lean hogs dropped 0.87 cent to 83.05 cents a pound; and July pork bellies fell 1.5 cents to 99.50 cents a pound.
