Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[March 02, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery sank 14.75 cents to $5.045 a bushel, while May corn dropped 7.25 cents to $3.8175 a bushel and oats for May delivery fell 1 cent to $2.295 a bushel. May soybeans added 1.5 cents to $9.625 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded mixed and pork futures advanced on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle slipped 0.2 cent to 91.72 cents a pound; April feeder cattle rose 1.15 cents to $1.0365 a pound; April lean hogs inched up 0.15 cent to 72.95 cents a pound; and May pork bellies gained 2.9 cents to 94.2 cents a pound.
