The Lincoln Park District's March membership
promotion involves anyone joining or renewing their Sports
Center membership at the circuit or full-access levels. Members will
be entered into a drawing for a free personal training
session. Brian Lechleiter is a certified personal trainer
available to help. Your 30-minute session will include tips on
correct form and knowledge of your workout routine. Focus will be on
balancing a blend of cardiovascular and weight lifting tailored to
your fitness goals. Some restrictions may apply.

The park district has lots of Easter fun to offer. On
Saturday, March 20, wear your messy play clothes to decorate
bunny cakes and make Easter-themed Rice Krispies treats. Each young
person will take home an Easter basket full of great snacks that can
be shared with their families. The park district is accepting
registrations from area fourth- and fifth-graders. You must
preregister in order that there will be adequate
supplies. Class size will be limited to the first 12
participants. Due to the generosity of the Lincoln Kroger store, the
cost for this class is greatly reduced. Just a reminder: The park
district's annual Easter egg hunt will be on Saturday,
April 3. Join us starting at 10 a.m. on the
driving range. This free event is sponsored by Maple
Ridge Care Centre, the Lincoln Kiwanis and CITV5.com.
Lincoln Park District is looking for people
interested in starting a pickle ball league. Pickle ball is
similar to badminton but played on a smaller-scaled tennis
court. The game uses a unique combination of pingpong, badminton and
tennis skills. Generally played as doubles, with two people per side
of the court, it is quick action, light exercise and a lot of
fun. Interested players should call Tillie Griffin at 732-8046 or
Roy at 732-8770.
