Agriculture futures mostly higher on the CBOT

[March 04, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures mostly advanced Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

InsuranceWheat for May delivery jumped 11.25 cents to $5.1575 a bushel, while May corn climbed 5.25 cents to $3.8675 a bushel and oats for May delivery inched up 0.25 cent to $2.3025 a bushel. May soybeans were flat at $9.635 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures traded higher and pork futures were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle edged up 0.13 cent to 92.9 cents a pound; April feeder cattle rose 0.33 cent to $1.0475 a pound; April lean hogs gained 0.95 cent to 73.4 cents a pound; and May pork bellies lost 0.82 cent to 94.75 cents a pound.
