Extension schedules training for day care providers

[March 04, 2010]  University of Illinois Extension in Logan County will offer a training session for day care providers on March 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. "Activities to get Kids Moving" will be presented by Patti Faughn, family life educator from University of Illinois' Springfield Extension Center.

The program will focus on the importance of active play to get children moving; indoor and outdoor active play ideas; and ideas for talking with parents about keeping children healthy.

Day care providers in attendance will receive two hours of continuing education credit for day care licensing requirements.

The cost is $12.

To obtain a registration form for the "Activities to get Kids Moving" session or to have your name added to the mailing list for workshops for day care providers, contact the Logan County Extension office at 732-8289. The deadline for registration is March 10.
