Accident reports for Monday, March 8

Unsolved mystery on Wyatt at Primm Road

On March 5 between midnight and 6 a.m. an unknown vehicle caused damage to approximately 80 feet of chain-link fence and accompanying fence posts along with a yield sign at the entrance of Lincoln Community High School.

Video recordings of the incident via the LCHS security cameras indicated the incident may have occurred around 2:30 a.m.

Evidence left at the scene appeared to show that an unknown vehicle was traveling southeast on Wyatt and left the road on the east side at the curve joining Wyatt and Primm Road.

The vehicle struck the chain-link fence and posts, damaging those, and then moved on to strike the yield sign at the high school before leaving the scene. The driver did not file a report.
