An air quality alert will be in effect in northern Illinois on Tuesday.
The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency and Indiana
Department of Environmental Management have determined that an "air
pollution action day" will be declared for Tuesday for the greater
Chicago metropolitan area. This includes the counties of Cook,
DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Grundy, Lake and McHenry in Illinois.
The alert is to expire at midnight Tuesday.
