Agriculture futures trade mixed on the CBOT

[March 09, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures were mixed Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery gained 1.5 cents to $4.95 a bushel, while May corn slipped 0.5 cent to $3.75 a bushel and oats for May delivery rose 1 cent to $2.275 a bushel. May soybeans advanced 5.25 cents to $9.48 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures advanced and pork futures traded lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle edged up 1.25 cents to 94.2 cents a pound; April feeder cattle added 0.78 cent to $1.06 a pound; April lean hogs lost 0.3 cent to 72.8 cents a pound; and May pork bellies fell 0.98 cent to 92.02 cents a pound.
