Agriculture futures trade lower on the CBOT

[March 10, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures fell Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery dropped 5.5 cents to $4.895 a bushel, while May corn fell 6 cents to $3.69 a bushel and oats for May delivery shed 2.5 cents to $2.25 a bushel. May soybeans slipped 0.5 cent to $9.475 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef futures rose and pork futures traded mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle added 0.2 cent to 94.4 cents a pound; April feeder cattle inched up 0.02 cent to $1.0602 a pound; April lean hogs lost 0.4 cent to 72.4 cents a pound; and May pork bellies rose 0.78 cent to 92.8 cents a pound.
