Get ready to 'Run for Your Life'

[March 11, 2010]  Registration is open for the seventh annual Run for Your Life, scheduled for April 16 at 4 p.m. This two-mile run/walk to promote health and wellness starts and ends on the Lincoln Christian University campus, located just off Illinois Route 10 on the east side of Lincoln. Participants will tour the campus grounds and nearby neighborhoods on a flat and fast course.

The early registration fees are $3 for LCU students, faculty and staff; $10 for the public; and free for those under age 12. After April 13 the cost increases to $15 per person.

Awards will be given in nine different age groups and special categories. Cash awards will be given to overall winners in both male and female categories.

Sponsors of the event this year are the LCU Alumni Association, Wells Fargo, Christian Homes, Lincoln Chrysler Dodge Jeep, Century Dental Center, Jeff and Robbin Hills, Apple Dental Center, Castle Manor, Charron's Auto Repair, Guzzardo's Italian Village, Graue Chevrolet, and Kristen Green-Morrow, M.D., of Lincoln Healthcare Specialists.
