Conservation tree sale extended

[March 13, 2010]  The Logan County Soil & Water Conservation District has extended the deadline for ordering trees to Friday, March 19. The program is sponsored to encourage more tree planting.

Anyone interested in ordering trees should contact the office at 735-5508, ext. 3, or stop by at 1650 Fifth Street Road, Lincoln, for an order form.

Evergreens, hardwoods, shrubs, fertilizer tablets, tree protectors and marking flags are available. Cost of trees is approximately $1 each.

Trees are scheduled to be delivered the first part of April. Purchasers will be notified of the exact date for pickup.
