Accident reports for Monday, March 15

Hit-and-run on Pulaski
March 8, 4:39 p.m.

  • Hopp, Ralph B. Jr., 59, Lincoln; 1999 Chrysler LHS owned by Treu Body Works

Hopp reported that the vehicle was parked on the north side of the street in the 900 block of Pulaski. An unknown vehicle traveling in an undetermined direction struck the parked car in the driver's side door, then left the scene of the accident.

Head-on collision sends two to hospital
March 11, 12:27 p.m.

  • Angel F. Goodwin, 49, Mason City; 1997 Ford Mustang

  • Kawanya K. Johnson, 30, Streamwood; 1993 Chevrolet extended van owned by Xelma Marshall of Carpentersville

Johnson was reported to be westbound on Lincoln Parkway near the intersection with Route 121. Goodwin was at the intersection and attempting to turn left, into the eastbound lane. Goodwin did not see Johnson approaching and hit that vehicle head-on. Johnson said that she did see Goodwin and attempted to avoid the accident by swerving into another lane but was unsuccessful.

Both drivers were transported by Logan County Paramedics to Memorial Hospital.

Johnson was ticketed for operating a vehicle with no insurance, while Goodwin received a citation for failure to yield the right of way.

Moving sideswipe on Woodlawn near Taylor Court
March 13, 1:28 p.m.

  • Linda C. Rickord, 66, Lincoln; 2003 Toyota Camry

  • (Unit 2) Licensed driver under the age of 18

Rickord reported that she had turned right onto Woodlawn from a private driveway and was traveling west in the inside lane. She proceeded to change lanes, not realizing that another vehicle was beside her. Rickord struck the other vehicle and was consequently ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.

Lincoln Police Department reports for Monday, March 15

  • Otter, William W., 39-year-old male, Lincoln, arrested March 12 at his residence on Class A charges of domestic battery and criminal damage to property.

  • Spaugh, Richard D. II, 20-year-old male, Lincoln, arrested March 14 on Connolley Road near Sysco on Class A charge of driving with license suspended.

Atlanta Police Department report for Monday, March 15

  • Dickerson, Dusty S., 19-year-old male, Waynesville, arrested on March 14 at the Casey's General Store in Atlanta on Class A charge of driving with a license suspended.

Logan County Sheriff's Department reports for Monday, March 15

  • Bertram, Audrey M., 37-year-old female, Lincoln, arrested on March 13 at her residence on a McLean County warrant for failure to appear on charge related to small claims. She was also held in contempt. Bond was set at $100 cash.

  • Brown, Christopher A., 40-year-old male, Chatham, arrested on March 14 at Latham and Taylor in Elkhart on Class A charge of driving under the influence. Vehicle was towed from the scene.

  • Davenport, Charles, C., 35-year-old male, Smyrna, Tenn., arrested on March 13 at the Logan County Safety Complex on two Class A charges of failure to appear, one on a charge related to criminal trespass of a railroad right of way and the other charge related to small claims. Bond was set at $2,000, 10 percent; and $200 cash, respectively.

  • Little, Charles T., 29-year-old male, Springfield, arrested on March 12 at the Logan County Safety Complex on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear, with an attachment for contempt.

  • VanCleve, Linda I., 37-year-old female, Lincoln, arrested on March 14 at the Logan County Safety Complex on Class A charge of endangering the life or health of a child.
