[March 16, 2010]  Brian Hutchison was awarded Employee of the Month for March at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital after an anonymous nominator singled him out for his great attitude.

"He is always very professional and respectful to others. He is always willing to help where he is needed. I believe he's a five-star employee. He has a great attitude," wrote the nominator.

Brian has been employed in plant operations at ALMH for four years. He graduated from the Universal Technical Institute near Chicago and is a certified HVAC-R mechanic. His work includes installing, servicing and repairing heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.

He enjoys working at ALMH because he likes his job and co-workers. "Maintenance work is different every day, and that's what I like about it," he said.

Hutchison said that to become a mechanic, one needs to work hard in school and be open to learning something new every day.

His nominator added: "He is always willing to answer any of my questions. I can see he is very dedicated to this hospital and our country, too!"

Hutchison served four years of active duty in the U.S. Army National Guard and is serving another four years of Individual Ready Reserve.

ALMH employs more than 290 in a wide variety of job functions. A different employee is honored each month for commitment to creating great patient experiences, getting great results and making ALMH a great place to work.
