He began taking intensive classes in March 2008 and finished the
program in December 2009.
Mourning, who has worked at ALMH since November 2003, decided to
pursue his doctorate degree to stay current with the training new
physical therapy graduates are receiving. He also intended to
advance his clinical knowledge.
"Earning my degree has given me a different perspective of
looking at the patient as a whole instead of just one problem or
injury," he says. "I‘ve learned how to use tools to search for and
apply research-based practices in a clinical setting."
ALMH congratulates Mourning for achieving this educational
milestone.
ALMH is a critical-access hospital providing health care services
for the residents of Logan and eastern Mason County. The hospital is
one of six affiliates of Memorial Health System and is fully
accredited by The Joint Commission.
