Agriculture futures fall on CBOT

[March 25, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agriculture futures dropped Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery slipped 2.25 cents to $4.745 a bushel; May corn shed 2.5 cents to $3.6025 a bushel; May soybeans slid 8.5 cents to $9.595 a bushel; and May oats dipped 0.5 cent to $2.16 a bushel.

Meanwhile, livestock futures mostly rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle added 0.08 cent to 92.45 cents a pound; May feeder cattle gained 0.15 cent to $108.90 cents a pound; June lean hogs slid 0.65 cent to 81.40 cents a pound; and May pork bellies climbed 1.25 cents to 97.40 cents a pound.
