MS Walk collects $27,000 -- Album 1[click on photos below to enlarge]

Approximately 140 people preregistered for the annual MS Walk, but chairwoman Nancy Ireland said that the total number of walkers who showed up was closer to 300. Including corporate and business sponsorships; the total amount raised at this year's walk came to $27,000.

At the pavilion on the backside of the park, volunteers lined tables, taking registration information, passing out shirts and taking a moment here and there to visit with friends.

Before the walk began, some of the groups took a moment to pose for pictures. This group is Cathy's Crusaders.

Nana's Nit Wits was a family packed full of little ones, all anxious to hit the road. 

This is part of the Eaton Electrical group. 

 

And here is Sun Glows Challenge, featuring the longtime MS Walk chairwoman, Nancy Ireland.

These youngsters plan to "bike" instead of hike.
