Motorist versus deer

Accident occurred May 4 at 2:54 a.m. on Illinois Route 10-121 east of Malerich Drive

  • May, Karen D., 53-year-old female, Topeka; 2002 Honda Accord

May reported she was westbound on Woodlawn in front of Kroger's when the front bumper of her vehicle struck a deer. May proceeded to Walmart, then filed the report. There were no injuries, no tickets issued.

Lincoln City Police Department report for Thursday, May 6

  • Eyrse, David C., 48-year-old male, Lincoln, arrested May 6 on Tremont at North Kankakee on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear. Bond was set at $300 cash.

Mount Pulaski Police Department reports for Thursday, May 6

  • Altig, Gail M., 51-year-old female, Mount Pulaski, arrested May 5 in the 200 block of South Main in Mount Pulaski on Class A charge of domestic battery; also arrested on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear. Bond was set at $250 cash.

  • Wigger, Randall R., 51-year-old male, Mount Pulaski, arrested May 5 in the 200 block of South Main in Mount Pulaski on Class A charge of domestic battery. No bond.

Logan County Sheriff Department reports for Thursday, May 6

  • Houghton, Roy E., 48-year-old male, Lincoln arrested May 5 in the 1300 block of 1250 Avenue on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear on charge of domestic battery.

  • Lawson, Terrence, D., 24-year-old male, Springfield, arrested May 5 on Route 54 east of 2000 Avenue on Class A charge of no valid driver's license.

  • Shamon, Phillip M., 50-year-old male, Rolla, Mo., arrested May 6 on Interstate 55 at the 123 exit on an Iowa warrant for felony possession of a firearm. Bond $5,000, out-of-state.

  • Stoner, Dian R. 33-year-old male, Decatur, arrested May 5 at the Macon County Jail in Decatur on a Logan County warrant for failure to appear on charge of battery. Bond set at $5,000, 10 percent.
