National Train Day in Lincoln

At 7 a.m. Saturday the National Train Day observance began in Lincoln with a small greeting committee consisting of Alderwoman Marty Neitzel, Alderwoman Joni Tibbs, Mayor Keith Snyder, David Hepler III and Wanda Lee Rohlfs of Main Street Lincoln.

Among the items on display are brief histories of the railway as it relates to the city of Lincoln.

Throughout the day, those coming and going were given "goody bags," compliments of Main Street Lincoln.

 

 

The word is given: "All aboard."

 

 

 

Some passengers are just going for a day trip -- no luggage required, just good coffee and a good book.
