Grain futures advance, livestock mostly lower

[May 12, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agricultural futures advanced Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery gained 0.5 cent to $4.9325 a bushel; July corn rose 6.5 cents to $3.77 a bushel; July soybeans added 5 cents to $9.66 a bushel; and July oats rose 2.5 cents to $2.0275 a bushel.

Meanwhile, cattle futures traded mixed and pork prices fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle rose 0.10 cent to 96.80 cents a pound; August feeder cattle fell 0.32 cent to $1.156 a pound; June lean hogs dropped 0.53 cent to 85.32 cents a pound; and May pork bellies fell 0.70 cent to $1.02 a pound.
