[May 12, 2010]  The Lincoln Jaycees will be at IGA from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and at Walmart from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday to sell Krispy Kreme doughnuts to raise money for Relay for Life. Doughnuts will be available by the dozen for $6.

InsuranceThe Lincoln Jaycees are participating in the Relay for Life of Logan County on June 18 in conjunction with the U.S. Jaycees organization, which is a national partner of Relay for Life.

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost and fight back against the disease. At the event, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relay for Life events are overnight and up to 24 hours in length.

The Lincoln Jaycees, a not-for-profit organization that serves Lincoln and the surrounding communities, gives young people between the ages of 18 and 40 the tools they need to build the bridges of success for themselves in the areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community service and international connections.

The Lincoln Jaycees host various community activities such as an Easter egg hunt, their Haunted House, Senior Feast, Breakfast with Santa and Angel Tree.

Membership meetings are the third Thursday of every month, 7 p.m., at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. Meetings are open to the public.
