| Entry fees are set in the amount of $10 cash or nonperishable food
items. Sign-ups will be the day of the run from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
in the rear parking lot of the Lincoln IGA, with lunch provided to
all participants. The run will then start at approximately 12:30 p.m., kicking off
at the Glass House Tavern, 700 Pulaski St., across from IGA. Stops
along the route will be at Mr. Lucky'ss, Alley-Bi, Characters and
Chad's Blind, with the finale at Rumors on Sangamon Street. Following the run there will be a night of fun and activities at
Rumors, including a silent auction, raffle for Miller Lite race car
hood signed by NASCAR driver Kurt Busch, 50/50 drawings and more. Everyone is invited to come out, join in the run, cheer on the
riders, donate food, money and support a great cause. A rain date is set for May 22. This event is coordinated by Sheena Bohn and Vienna Perdue. These
two young community members came up with the idea after
participating in several similar events in other communities. They
wanted to do something fun, as well as for a good cause. They've had
much success with community sponsorships and donations along the way
to help make the Lawnmower Run a success. For more information, call the event coordinators, Bohn at
			217-737-3815 or Perdue at 217-732-5691.
