Grain futures trade lower, livestock futures mixed

[May 14, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Agricultural futures retreated Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery dropped 12.5 cents to $4.79 a bushel; July corn fell 5.25 cents to $3.73 a bushel; July soybeans slipped 1 cent to $9.645 a bushel; and July oats dropped 5 cents to $1.98 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork prices were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle fell 0.13 cent to 95.57 cents a pound; August feeder cattle gained 0.30 cent to $1.1507 a pound; June lean hogs dropped 1.05 cents to 84.60 cents a pound; and May pork bellies gained 3 cents to $1.05 a pound.
