Christina Ricci to make her Broadway debut

[May 14, 2010]  NEW YORK (AP) -- Christina Ricci (REE'-chee) will make her Broadway debut in Donald Margulies' (MAHR'-gyoo-leez) "Time Stands Still" when the Tony-nominated play resumes performances in September.

The 30-year-old actress will join previously announced original cast members Laura Linney, Brian d'Arcy James and Eric Bogosian. Producers made the announcement Thursday.

Hardware"Time Stands Still" has two Tony nominations: best play and best actress for Linney.

The play had a limited nonprofit engagement this spring at the Manhattan Theatre Club. It will resume performances Sept. 23 at a Shubert theater to be announced.

Ricci's screen credits include "The Addams Family," "The Ice Storm" and "The Opposite of Sex."

Tony winners will be announced June 13.
