Grains trade mixed, livestock futures mostly drop

[May 18, 2010]    CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures traded mixed Monday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

HardwareWheat for July delivery added 2 cents to $4.735 a bushel; July corn dropped 2.5 cents to $3.605 a bushel; July soybeans lost 7 cents to $9.465 a bushel; and July oats were unchanged at $1.9575 a bushel.

Meanwhile, beef and pork futures traded mostly lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle were flat at 93.25 cents a pound; August feeder cattle shed 0.12 cent to $1.1285 a pound; June lean hogs lost 0.65 cent to 82.90 cents a pound; and July pork bellies tumbled 1.30 cents to $1.0010 a pound.
